Pentium II 400MHZ, 64MB RAM, 50MB free hard disk space, Windows NT 4.0

Recommended:
Pentium 4 1.4MHZ 512MB RAM, Windows XP Professional

Forté software will operate on Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 Professional, and Windows XP Professional.
Forté computers are shipped with Windows XP Professional SP2 unless otherwise specified.

Security:
Forté computers are typically shipped with no special security setup. They have one user, Administrator, with no password. Security and network setup is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend setting up the users and security of the Forte computer the same way you would for any other workstation on your network.
The main requirement is that the Windows user operating the Forté system needs to have read and write access to the "ForteSystem" directory as well as any other directories that the system will be accessing. For example, if using the file sharing option, the user needs to have write access to the directory the file will be written to.

Other security permissions may be required depending on your system configuration and options.
Use of the Forté FTrends application requires additional security configuration of Microsoft IIS. more information
Use of the Forté Remote Profile application may require configuration of the Windows Firewall. more information
